The 2026 road trip
In August 2026 we travelled through Armenia by minibus, shared taxi, tour bus, taxi and on foot. Every part of the road becomes a piece on this site and a film, published as each one is finished. So far the road runs from Gyumri in the north-west to Kapan: 6 stops, in 7 parts.

How the road is written
Each part of the road is a piece on this site and a film on our YouTube channel. The piece is written after the film is cut, so it can say what the camera missed and correct what it got wrong. Nothing here is a listicle; it is what happened, in order, with the names of the people who were there.
The map is a drawing, not a survey. The line follows the roads the pieces describe, and the stops sit where the towns are, numbered in the order we reached them. A stop with two pieces under it is a place where we stayed long enough to write twice, and a piece that covers two places is listed under the first of them.
