Midem Festival in Cannes, France
Midem is the yearly international music exhibition, conference and festival, presenting a full toolkit to succeed in the music industry, that has grown to become an ecosystem. this year 6,150 participants and 1,236 exhibiting companies from 75 countries, will expand their international network, create bridges with other industries, improve practices, sign deals and take their business to the next level. The event is taking place in Cannes, at the Palais des Festivals, from 5-8 June 2015.
What is more important to our Armenian readers is that this year the country of honor is Armenia. “This year, Midem recognizes Armenia as Country of Honor through a dedicated program showcasing its rich and diverse range of musical genres, art, fashion, cuisine, and traditions.” according to the MIDEM Website. Vehan khatchadryan will exhibit Armenian Traditional outfits.
NY based Artist Tigrane Tsidoghdzyan will exhibit his paintings, “Proud to be the artist to represent the culture of Armenia, the country of honor at 2015 Cannes festival of Midem! The exposition is at the Carlton’s “Grande Salle”. Some amazing musicians and great people are in the house!” Lebanese Armenian Singer Eileen Khatchadourian announced on her social media account that she will be “performing on the 7th, Live At The Ma Nolan’s ”
The opening party was held on 5 Jun 2015, 19:30 – 23:55, at the Carlton, and included Armenian Food & Drinks, Live Music, Non-stop Party & Networking until 02:00 am. MIDEM FESTIVAL: “THE ARMENIAN ELEMENTS OF MUSIC” OPENING 19:00 – 02:00
