Maria Moskofian auditioned in “The Voice of Greece” a Greek television talent show created by John DE Mol and based on the concept of an international series. She performed Emma Chaplin’s “Spente le Stelle”.

The four coaches Helena Paparizou, Sakis Rouvas, Kostis Maraveyas, and Panos Mouzourakis turned and wanted her but she chose Kostis Maraveyas, a well-known songwriter-performer in Greece.

Maria was accompanied by her mother and first tutor Silva Makamian who also helped Armenian contestant Yuri Melikov join the cast a few years back.

For those of you who have been to Cyprus, you could’ve had the chance to the angelic voice of Armenian Lebanese and Cypriot roots chanting among the St. Stephanos Armenian church choir in Larnaca.


Maria Moskofian was born in Helsingborg, Sweden in 1992. She grew up in a musical family and her mother, Silva Makamian, was her vocal teacher at her early ages. She started singing at a very young age. At the age of 4, she won her first prize at the competition of Kataklismos Fair in Larnaca.

As a child she has taken part in various concerts at the schools she has attended to and all over Cyprus as a soloist, and as a choir member. She had also some TV appearances by taking part in music shows and song contests.

From 2010 – 2016 she studied at the National Music Conservatory of Komitas in Yerevan, Armenia in the class of Professor Valery Harutyunyan where she completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Performing Arts.

Moreover, Maria has taken part in many concerts, recitals, and competitions latest being Giulio Perotti’s International competition in Ueckermünde, Germany in October of 2015.

In may 2016 she had a solo concert in Yerevan, Armenia and in June 2016 took place at a concert at the Pattichio Theatre in Larnaca, Cyprus.

On September 2016 Maria Moskofian was contracted to work at the State Music Lyceums as a Vocal teacher.
In June 2017 she had two concerts with the Cyprus Symphonic Orchestra.
