# Aypoupen

> Independent English-language writing about Armenia and Armenians, published since December 2013 by Garo and Araz Kotchounian. 160 pieces on culture, history, people, food, the diaspora and travel in Armenia, plus small experience-led trips.

Aypoupen (Այբուբեն) is the Armenian word for alphabet. The site is not a news outlet and not a booking platform: it is a first-hand archive by two people who live in Cyprus, travel in Armenia, and write up what they find. Trips are organised through psithyron.com.
