Yesterday as a huge crowd was gathered on the French Riviera to celebrate the Bastille Day otherwise known as the french Independence day, a French-Tunisian criminal well known to the police for armed attacks used a hired lorry to kill at least 84 people.

Many children were among the death toll in the Riviera city following the “cowardly and barbaric” atrocity.

According to CNN: Scores of people were killed Thursday night when a large truck plowed through a Bastille Day crowd in Nice, France, in what President Francois Hollande called a terror attack.

The driver first shot a gun into the crowd before driving two kilometers along the Promenade des Anglais, the main street in Nice, mowing down people who had gathered to watch fireworks.

As hundreds remained in hospital, including 18 in intensive care, anti-terrorist judges opened an investigation into the ‘mass murder’.

The Armenian community has at least ten active organizations functioning in Nice, according to local priest Fr. Krikor Khatchadryan, there is a local Armenian woman among the victims, with few injured Armenians as well. We will update you as soon as new information becomes available to the public.
